This repeat pattern is based off of motifs and marks in my abstracted forest fire paintings from the past two years. I love bold and colourful fabric prints - not that I always wear them, but I use them at home and on bags, and admire them on more daring people (than me). Why limit dynamic shapes, layered intricacy, and colour mixing to a static painting when one could carry the vivid composition around and incorporate it in daily life, enjoy it at any time?
This is a digital all-over-print which allows for each side of the bag to show a different section of the pattern. There is an inside pocket, just the thing for keys and other small items you don’t want to lose in the bottom of the bag. The inside of the bag (the reverse side of the fabric) is black. The artist’s signature is on the flap of the inside pocket.
