This repeat pattern is based off of motifs and marks in my abstracted forest fire paintings from the past two years. I love bold and colourful fabric prints - not that I always wear them, but I use them at home and on bags, and admire them on more daring people (than me). Why limit dynamic shapes, layered intricacy, and colour mixing to a static painting when one could carry the vivid composition around and incorporate it in daily life, enjoy it at any time?
This is a digital all-over-print which allows for each side of the bag to show a different section of the pattern. The inside of the bag (the reverse side of the fabric) is black. The artist’s signature is on the front side of the bag.
