Ruska is the Finnish word for autumnal colours. I created the Ruska pattern series from the markings and motifs found in my abstracted paintings of the autumnal Lapland countryside, painted in 2022 - 2023. This is a digital all-over-print which allows for each side of the bag to show a different section of the pattern. There is an inside pocket, just the thing for keys and other small items you don’t want to lose in the bottom of the bag. The inside of the bag (the reverse side of the fabric) is black. The artist’s signature is on the flap of the inside pocket.
