Ruska is the Finnish word for autumnal colours. I created the Ruska pattern series from the markings and motifs found in my abstracted paintings of the autumnal Lapland countryside, painted in 2022 - 2023. This is a digital all-over-print which allows for each side of the bag to show a different section of the pattern. The inside of the bag (the reverse side of the fabric) is black. The artist’s signature is on the front side of the bag.
